Guest Satisfaction & Refund Policy
Our Commitment
At Salsa's Mexican Café, we are committed to providing our guests with high-quality food and excellent service. We want every dining experience to be enjoyable. If you are not satisfied with your meal or experience for any reason, please bring it to the attention of our staff or management immediately so we can address the issue promptly.
General Policy Guidelines
- Immediate Notification: Issues regarding food or service quality must be reported to a server or manager as soon as they are discovered. Waiting until the end of the meal or after leaving the premises may limit our ability to verify the issue and offer a resolution.
- Return of Item: To be eligible for a refund or replacement for a food item, the item in question must generally be returned. We typically cannot offer refunds for items that have been fully or mostly consumed.
- Management Discretion: All refunds and resolutions are subject to the approval and discretion of the manager on duty. We assess each situation individually.
- Proof of Purchase: We may require proof of purchase (receipt) to process a refund.
Specific Scenarios
- Food Quality Concerns: If your food is undercooked, overcooked, contains unexpected ingredients (like a foreign object), or does not meet reasonable quality standards, please notify us immediately. We will typically offer to:
- Remake the dish correctly.
- Offer an alternative menu item of similar value.
- Remove the item from your bill if it is returned largely uneaten.
- Incorrect Order: If you receive an item different from what you ordered, please inform your server right away. We will correct the order as quickly as possible and ensure you are not charged for the incorrect item.
- Allergies & Dietary Restrictions: We take allergies and dietary restrictions seriously. If you clearly communicated an allergy or restriction when ordering, and we failed to accommodate it safely, please notify us immediately. We will address the situation urgently, which may include removing the item from your bill or offering a suitable replacement. However, Salsa's Mexican Café is not responsible for allergic reactions if the allergy was not disclosed at the time of ordering.
- Service Issues: If you experience significant service failures, please speak with the manager on duty. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a complimentary item, a discount, or another appropriate resolution. Full refunds for service issues alone are rare but considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Subjective Taste: While we strive for delicious food, we cannot offer refunds simply because a dish was not to your personal taste preference if it was prepared correctly according to our recipe and standards. We encourage you to ask your server for recommendations if you are unsure what to order.
Takeout & Delivery Orders
- Check Your Order: Please check your takeout order for accuracy before leaving the restaurant. For delivery orders, check upon arrival.
- Missing Items: If items are missing from your takeout or delivery order, please contact us immediately within 1 hour of receiving the order. We will arrange to provide the missing item or offer a refund/credit for the missing item's value.
- Incorrect Items: If you received incorrect items, contact us immediately. We may offer a refund/credit for the incorrect item or arrange for a replacement, depending on the situation.
- Quality Issues for Takeout Item: If there is a quality issue with a takeout item, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally with a photo of the issue. Resolutions will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Refund Method
Approved refunds will typically be processed using the original method of payment. In some cases, store credit or a gift card may be offered as an alternative. Cash refunds may require manager approval and verification.
Policy Modifications
Salsa's Mexican Café reserves the right to amend this refund policy at any time without prior notice. Management reserves the right to make final decisions on all refund requests.
